LATVIAN:

Izvedu pa ilgiem laikiem ielas savu velo kirsiti, iespraudu matos roza puki un devos but.

ENGLISH:

Met a person today who said that on days like these you must not hurry anywhere. So true – as it seems that by hurrying you would spoil the magic of the moment, when autumn comes in the city, but you can still feel the last breath of summer in the air.

Sun,  +20 degrees, smily people and lazy lazy Saturday in the city – days like these are somewhat to good to be true and I’m cautiously whispering to myself that I’m happy. It’s been a while since I rode my bicycle and was happy to take it on a ride today, wearing a pink flower in my hair. Super late breakfast (if you can at all use this word to refer to a meal taking place after 1pm), even later continuation of it on a peaceful terrace of Teatra bars restaurant. The only table there seemed to be waiting for us, wearing its white lace table cloth. The feeling there was amazing – in the middle of the city, but around peace and quiet, just some New Riga Theater actors running over the yard… and only the slight chilly breeze of the wind would remind that summer has gone for good.

On my way home I was seduced by the market on Matisa street – and it was worth it to walk through it looking at all the mushrooms, berries, pumpkins and autumn’ s flowers smiling at you. Bought a lot of countryside goodies for dinner, bought some flowers for myself – why not?! And with a huge smile on my face drove on the street full with yellow leaves from the surrounding trees.

You can say what you want, but autumn coming to the city is magical!
