LATVIAN:

ENGLISH:

Recently I have surprised myself by posting two negative posts about bad experience in Riga’s restaurants. Yesterday, however, was struck by the opposite – very professional and positive attitude at Tinto wine space. Have actually blogged about it already some time ago and already then noticed good service. I am happy that even with changes in the staff, this value is still held high at Tinto.

And here’s the story: we went there to eat dinner after a good movie at Splendid Palace cinema. After starters, the steaks were served and even though I have asked for medium, mine was a bit too bloody for my taste. Asked the waiter to grill it a bit more, but as a result got a whole new portion of the main dish, a glass of wine on the house and both diners received a marzipan cake from the chef (btw tasty even for people who don’t like marzipan, like me). Taking into account the overall price of the dinner and the tip, I don’t think these treats were too expensive for the establishment, but what they got in return were two very satisfied and happy customers likely to spread the message and come back again. Since Latvians are slow on giving positive feedback, I want to give “thumbs up” to Tinto wine space and advise you to stop by for a good service!

You are more than welcome to share your good experiences in Riga’s dining places, so that other people know and the good message gets spread. 🙂
